The
Lamborghini Asterion Concept remains speculative - it is only a
concept at this point. Lamborghini has built the car, but the company
has not yet announced any concrete plans for the Asterion Concept to
make it to factory production. The Lamborghini Asterion Concept
debuted at the 2014 Paris Motor Show. And it made a success for
several innovations never before seen in a vehicle made by
Lamborghini.
The
biggest development of all was the Lamborghini Asterion Concept’s
inclusion of an electric motor that serves as power booster, starter,
and generator. The Asterion utilizes a lithium-ion battery pack. At
the same time it still features a 602-hp 5.2-liter V-10 producing 413
lb-ft of torque, with a even-speed dual-clutch transmission, giving
the car speed and power.
The
shape of the car was a major departure - looking like something more
reminiscent of the car’s 1970’s-era GT models.
The
2015 Lamborghini Aventador is a 2-door, 2-seat Coupe, available in 4
trims. The prise of the model varies from $397,500 to $548,800. The
$397,500 LP700-4 Coupe is equipped with a standard 6.5L, 12-cylinder,
engine that achieves 11-mpg in the city and 18-mpg on the highway.
The $548,800 LP720-4 50th Anniversario Roadster is equipped with a
standard 6.5L, 12-cylinder, engine that achieves 10-mpg in the city
and 16-mpg on the highway.
The
standard features of the Porsche 918 Spyder Base include 4.6L V-8
608hp engine, 7-speed auto-shift manual transmission, 4-wheel
anti-lock brakes (ABS), integrated navigation system, side seat
mounted airbags, cruise control, driveline traction control and
all-wheel drive. The prise of such model is $929,000.00.
With
unprecedented aerodynamic performance, incredible grip and downforce,
and 600 lb-ft of torque, the 2016 Viper ACR is more like something
you’d find at a Formula One race than on American highways.
While
the new Dodge Viper ACR is not electric and cannot fly, you’ll feel
like you’re flying with this race car that puts out some of the
most impressive numbers of any vehicle in recent memory.
Bugatti
Chiron comes with an expected release date sometime in 2017. It is
the successor to the Bugatti Veyron, which currently holds
performance record around. Details on the Chiron are vague, since
Bugatti wants to keep the project under wraps as much as possible.
Early
details place the car’s top speed somewhere around 288 miles per
hour, which would make it by far the fastest production car ever. The
Chiron is expected to feature an 8-liter W-16 engine with direct
injection, increased boost pressure, and at least two electrically
powered turbochargers.
